Yu Dayi Chinese Medicine comes to the North Country
Michael is a board certified, New York State licensed acupuncturist. He holds his Master’s of Science in Acupuncture from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His training includes acupuncture, tui na, Chinese herbal medicine and cupping. He has studied hand, scalp, and classic acupuncture under Master Yu Shoubin, as handed down through the 500 year Yu family lineage.
Michael’s approach to acupuncture is grounded in his martial arts and meditation practice. He has trained in Dachengquan, Plum Blossom Praying Mantis Kung Fu and Yang Tai Chi since 2015 as a disciple to Master Wang Rengang. In his treatments Michael works to integrate the mind and body, and to harmonize the inner human universe with the outer universe.
Michael is passionate about providing holistic health care to the North Country. He believes Oriental Medicine can work hand in hand with modern medicine by activating the body’s innate healing mechanisms. In his spare time, Michael enjoys foraging for wild edibles, hiking, playing tabla and guitar, and cooking with the seasons.
